I started writing a parable about empathy. The moment the story began to take shape, it took over and used me as a vehicle to expose a world, filled with a lack of civility and logical fallacies, whoring after one conspiracy theory or another. The novel has no mercy on hubris, rendering it all burlesque. This will continue to be an undercurrent in my upcoming novellas.
